KEITH PHILLIPS LOCATED FRIDAY, FAMILY THANKS AUTHORITIES AND FRIENDS FOR ASSISTANCE

After going missing on Wednesday and a nationwide Silver alert was that issued for him on Thursday, Keith Phillips was located late Friday afternoon in a remote area of Northern Cumberland County.  Phillips reportedly got his truck stuck on a rural trail and began to walk, leaving his cell phone and wallet in this truck.  While walking, he reportedly fell down a hill several feet and was unable to walk.  Rescuers reached Phillips and he was air lifted out to an area trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
Over the weekend, his daughter took to Facebook to thank all those who helped in locating Keith.

Y’all! So many people to thank. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, TBI, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Park Services, Anderson County Rescue Squad, Morgan County Rescue Squad, Fentress County Rescue Squad, Scott County Rescue Squad, Cumberland County Rescue Squad, Emergency Management, Deerlodge Fire & Rescue and the bloodhound crew from the Prison plus Morgan County Ambulance service. The news outlets who kept his face out, whew!!! The pilot and the plane. And I want to tell you about the church that opened up their doors so we could use their facilities. ❤️ These people searched, they communicated, they hugged, they prayed, they gave shoulders…it was a sight to see. In this heat! They never gave up! I feel sure they saved my daddy’s life. Words or actions will never be able to express my deepest gratitude.
My tribe. His tribe. My brothers tribe. My family’s tribe. To see all these people drive hundreds of miles for 2 days searching. 2 days they took time off of work, their time, their gas. The shoulders to lean and cry on. The food. The waters. The ice. They gave all. The comfort I felt when I saw all of our people patiently waiting in that church parking lot. No one would leave. To pray in the parking lot outside that church was the best!
It’s was overwhelming. Sad at times. Comforting. Spectacular.
There’s no way I could tag everyone. Everyone who called. Text. Facebooked. Shared. Messaged. Searched. And PRAYED. It takes a village. And I am so thankful for it. Genesis Community?!?!?!?! You guys are fantastic. Stellar. Amazing. The very best. You stayed and cheered as the ambulance passed by. It was a beautiful sight.
I will be forever grateful for everyone who had a part in bringing my dad home safely.
As for Dad, he’s been transferred to UT. He has a couple of back fractures, he did fall several feet, but he’s still with us and it’s not anything that can’t be fixed. We serve an amazing GOD. He sure did give us some bread and fish yesterday. I give HIM all the Glory.
