KENTUCKY MAN ALMOST THREW AWAY A $4 MILLION LOTTERY TICKET
A Kentucky man – whose last name is Winn – who said he frequently plays Tennessee Lottery games nearly tossed a winning ticket. The ticket ended up being worth $4 million.
Sean Winn of Greeneville, Kentucky, said he’d scratched the Gigantic Jumbo Bucks ticket recently and, thinking it wasn’t a winner, tossed it into the back of his truck.
It wasn’t until he tried to enter it into the “Play It Again!” program that he realized the ticket was a winner.
The Tennessee Lottery’s Play It Again! program allows players to enter non-winning tickets into drawings to win cash prizes.
The Kentucky State Parks employee said he visits Tennessee often; he purchased his winning ticket at Riley’s Market on Highway 431 North in Springfield, Tennessee.
