KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED FOR LETTING A RACCOON LOOSE INSIDE A BUSINESS

On June 6, Murray Police responded to a report of 40-year-old Jonathan Mason intentionally releasing a raccoon into a business in Murray, KY, where it bit someone. Mason, who had prior warnings not to enter the property, fled but was intercepted by police.
He refused to cooperate, leading to his forcible removal from his vehicle. He was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Failure to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense.
