KINGSTON MAN CHARGED AFTER ACTING SUSPICIOUS AND RESISITING ARREST
Kingston Police Department officers were sent to the Rocky Top on Morrison Hill just after 5 PM Tuesday to check on a person who was acting suspiciously in the parking lot.
A Roane County deputy was at the store and made the call for the police to check out the subject who was across the street hiding in the woods. According to the report from Kingston Police, after checking out the subject identified as John Isaac Townsend, it was determined that he was intoxicated and was a danger to himself and others.
The officer attempted to take him into custody, but he resisted and was taken to the ground and placed in handcuffs. He was transported to the County Jail, after refusing advised medical attention. He was booked in on Public Intoxication charges and Resisting Arrest.
