KINGSTON POLICE ARREST AND CHARGE MAN FOR CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION
On Wednesday, the Kingston Police Department performed a traffic stop on, and later arrested, a driver identified as 42-year-old Jeremiah Eugene McClure.
Following an investigation, he was taken to jail and charged with theft of property up to $1,000, criminal impersonation other than law enforcement, driving without a license, not using a seatbelt, no insurance on his vehicle, and violation of a probation warrant.
McClure would also take a final charge of using a false ID to obtain goods.
The report from Kingston Police says officers saw McClure run through a stop sign on 3rd street and so they then pulled the car over at Stinnett Street near the post office.
The report stated he gave police a fake name originally and further investigation determined his real identity and that he was wanted in the county for several outstanding warrants and then taken to jail.
His Total Bond is set to $6,500.
