KNOXVILLE SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED IN NASHVILLE FOR FILMING 2 YEAR OLD IN RESTROOM
Parolee and registered sex offender, 31-year-old James B. Josey III, was charged with the invasion of privacy for hiding in a stall of the women’s restroom at the Hermitage Whataburger restaurant and using his cell phone to video people in the adjacent stall.
A woman who had taken her two-year-old child into the restroom on March 27 noticed a phone was pressed against the open gap between the two stalls, according to Metro Police. The mother yelled at the individual, causing Josey to quickly leave the stall and restaurant. A Whataburger staff member followed Josey and recognized that he was a former employee of the restaurant.
Josey admitted to Youth Services in an interview to recording the video in the women’s restroom for sexual gratification.
Josey faces a felony charge and his bond is set at $2,500.
Josey is a registered sex offender out of Knoxville, where he committed similar invasion of privacy offenses. The State of Tennessee is expected to file a parole violation warrant against Josey.
