KROGER RECALLS PASTA SALAD DELI PRODUCTS FOR LISTERIA

Kroger and Albertsons have issued recalls for deli products, specifically Basil Pesto Bowtie Salads and Smoked Mozzarella Penne Salads at Kroger, and various pasta salads and ready-to-heat meals at Albertsons, due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalls, affecting products sold in multiple states, were prompted by concerns over pasta supplied by Nate’s Fine Foods of Roseville, California, which may be contaminated.
Kroger’s recall covers 1,860 stores across 28 states, including Kroger-owned brands like Fred Meyer and Ralphs, while Albertsons’ recall spans 15 states, affecting stores like Safeway and Vons. No adverse reactions have been reported, and customers are advised to discard or return the affected products for a refund.
Listeriosis, caused by Listeria monocytogenes, is a serious infection that can lead to severe symptoms, particularly in pregnant women, newborns, young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems, potentially causing miscarriages, stillbirths, or death.
Customers with concerns are encouraged to contact healthcare providers or the companies’ customer service lines.
