Lacey Pryor Upshaw, 28

Hood – Lacey Pryor Upshaw , 28, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on June 17, 2025.

Lacey was born on April 19, 1997, to Michael Pryor and Tracie Pryor (Geoffrey Woodall). She spent 11 years of her life in Apopka, Florida before moving to Tennessee, where she graduated from William Blount High School in Blount County in 2015. She went on to attend Tennessee Wesleyan University for two years and later pursued her passion for healing by attending massage school. She became a licensed massage therapist in 2022.

In 2018, Lacey met the love of her life, Jay Upshaw. Together they built a beautiful family full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. On June 1, 2020, she welcomed her first child, Jordan Jermaine Upshaw — her blessing, her headache, and her little jokester. On November 2, 2021, she gave birth to her sweet daughter, Haylor Grace Upshaw, her disco diva full of sass and sparkle. Then on September 16, 2023, she welcomed her third child, Oden Jayce Upshaw, her last baby — her warrior, her tank.

Lacey was a devoted, passionate mother who poured her entire heart into raising her children. She embraced motherhood with a grace and patience that inspired everyone around her. Her children were her world, and she cherished every moment with them — through the sleepless nights, the belly laughs, the chaos, and the cuddles.

Lacey was not only a beautiful woman on the outside — with a smile that could light up an entire room — but her inner light shined even brighter. She had a radiant soul, full of kindness, warmth, and fierce love. Her strength was unmatched, and her spirit unbreakable. Through every challenge, she remained courageous and resilient — a true warrior in every sense of the word.

Even in the face of cancer, Lacey fought with everything she had. She showed bravery, grace, and determination beyond measure. Her strength became a beacon of hope for those who loved her. She inspired so many people and touched countless lives with her kindness, light, and resilience.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Nancy, her paternal biological grandfather, Joseph E. Woodall, her beloved Nana, Hilda J. Wilcox, and her brother, Garrett Carter.

She is survived by her loving parents, Tracie and Michael Pryor, and her biological father Geoffrey Woodall and his wife Malinda Woodall. She leaves behind her husband, Jay Upshaw, and their three cherished children: Jordan, Haylor, and Oden Upshaw.

She is also survived by her sisters: Miranda Woodall (John Campbell), Katie Hubbard (Cody), Latisha Neal (Lewis), Dana Cross (Chris), Emma Kilby, and Shelby Carter; her brother, Holton Woodall; her grandparents James and Lois Pryor, and her paternal grandmother, Sharon Woodall.

She is lovingly remembered by a host of special aunts and uncles, as well as many cousins and friends who were blessed to know her. Her presence lit up every room, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
