A Lenoir City woman who reportedly stabbed her 3-year-old son to death earlier this month has died of self-inflicted injuries. A grand jury in Loudon County indicted 38-year-old Melani Sue Brown on multiple charges, including premeditated first-degree murder, felony murder by aggravated child abuse, felony murder by aggravated child neglect, aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect. Officials say after 3-year-old King Brown was stabbed to death, Melani Brown attempted suicide by stabbing herself with the same knife. She was initially taken to U.T. Medical Center.
