LIGHT SNOW POSSIBLE

The National Weather Service is expecting scattered light rain to start moving across Middle Tennessee later today. This off and on light rain will mix with some light snow tonight through Friday across all of Middle Tennessee before ending by early Saturday morning.
Meteorologists at the National Weather Service say most of Middle Tennessee will see no snow accumulation and no impacts due to above-freezing temperatures. However, areas on and near the Cumberland Plateau could see up to (or even over) 1″ of snow, which may cause some icy roads and travel impacts – mainly late Friday into early Saturday.
Here is what we know:
  • What: Mix of light rain & light snow
  • When:  Tonight through early Saturday morning
  • Where:  All of Middle Tennessee, but especially the Cumberland Plateau
  • Main Concerns:  Roads could become icy on some parts of the Plateau – especially secondary roads – late Friday into early Saturday
