Linda Jo Lacey, 78, died Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Cumberland Medical Center. Linda was born July 6, 1946, in Oak Park, Chicago, IL the daughter of John Worth and Ruth Markley. In 1966, she met Craig Lacey in college by throwing a snowball at him and on August 25, 1967 they were married. They were lifelong companions and friends and were blessed with three daughters: Terri, Kristi and Tiffani. She was a devoted caregiver and mother. She was a member of the Daughter of the King at St Raphael Episcopal Church in Crossville TN. Other hobbies include bird watching, talking to family, and spending time with her husband. Linda also loved watching the Chicago Cubs and was ecstatic when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016. She said, “I can now die a happy woman”!

Linda is survived by her husband, Craig Lacey, her daughters, Terri (William) Quinby, Kristi (John) Anstine, and Tiffani (Micheal) Seng; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She was preceded to death by both parents.

She will be remembered by her big smile, sense of humor and her big warm heart.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2025 at 2pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1pm-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
