Linda Ruth Davidson, 79
Linda Ruth Davidson passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born February 17, 1947, to Gardner “Beek” and Bennie (Upchurch) Delk of Pall Mall, TN. Linda was their beloved daughter. Her life was a testament of hard work, love, faith, and devotion to the family.
Linda graduated from York Institute, and then went to Draughon’s Business School in Nashville. After completing her education, she returned home to Pall Mall where she married the love of her life, James Bill Davidson. Bill was her constant for 60 years. Linda was the proud mother of two sons, Joey Davidson and Jamey Davidson. Through them, her family grew to include two daughter-in-law, five cherished grandchildren, and eleven precious great-grandchildren.
Most people will remember Linda from Fentress Farmers’ Co-op, where she worked for almost 50 years. She worked along many a good person at the co-op, especially her good buddies Tubby and Slim Stone. Linda attended York Chapel Church for years and most recently Rotten Fork Community Church. Linda loved to spend time with her family and always enjoyed the visits with those great-grandbabies. Lindas legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on through her family who were so very blessed to call her their “Ninny”.
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Jennings Funeral Home Chapel in Jamestown. Burial will follow in the Upchurch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday July 13, 2026 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at then Jennings Funeral Home Chapel in Jamestown.
