LONDON KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED IN CROSSVILLE, STILL THOUGHT HE WAS IN LONDON

On Sunday at approximately 11:37 p.m. Deputies Steven Richardson and Deputy Broderdorf noticed a parked 2012 Nissan Versa
with a Kentucky license plate at the “Lucky Stop” Gas station on Plateau Rd. in Crossville.

Deputies found the driver, David Bruce Crawford, in the front seat, leaned all the way back unconscious with the keys in the
ignition.

After knocking on the vehicle, the driver woke up and deputies noticed a heavy smell of marihuana and alcohol. Crawford, unable to answer simple questions, stated he was unaware of how he arrived in Crossville and said repeatedly that he was actually in London, Kentucky.

With glossy eyes and an unsteady posture, Crawford was identified and gave permission for deputies to search his vehicle. Deputies found what they believed to be marijuana. Deputy Richardson performed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test on Crawford, who admitted to drinking afterward.

While conducting further tests, Crawford was unable to
maintain his balance in the instruction position, and unable to complete all the tests.

Crawford was arrested for not having a license, simple possession, and driving under the influence. He would be later transported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for processing and then taken to Cumberland County Medical Center for a blood draw.
