Arlon Hubert Way, a longtime Cumberland County educator and lifelong minister of the Church of Christ, passed away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 85. Throughout his distinguished career in education, Mr. Way served as a teacher, assistant principal, and the elected Cumberland Superintendent of Schools (a position now known as Director of Schools).

He was married to Jane Way, who also dedicated 47 years to the local school system. Funeral services for the Crossville, Tennessee resident will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
