A Loudon County law enforcement officer was injured in a single vehicle accident in Knox County yesterday. Rural Metro responded to the scene on I-40 where a vehicle left the road and flipped over coming to rest down an embankment. Crews extricated the officer and a passenger from the wreckage. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. The accident report, including the identities of the two, will be released at a later time.
