LOUDON COUNTY WOMAN CHARGED WITH CHILD ABUSE AFTER REPORTEDLY LEAVING 10-MONTH OLD IN CAR UNATTENDED

CROSSVILLE POLICE ARREST MAN AT DOLLAR GENERAL STORE FOR DRUG INDUCED P.I.

A Loudon County woman is facing charges after allegedly leaving a 10-month-old baby in a vehicle unattended. Thirty-seven year old Clare Marie Ferguson walked off from the automobile for around 15 minutes with the child inside with the windows up and the car not running. Ferguson allegedly was under the influence of a drug. A family member came to the scene to get the baby and a Department of Children’s Services (DCS) referral was made. Ferguson was arrested for child abuse or neglect, child endangerment, public intoxication and three drug offenses.
