A major traffic accident has occurred on northbound US Highway 127 / Main Street at the intersection with Matherly Street in Crossville, severely disrupting travel in the area.

Both lanes of the northbound roadway are currently blocked following what is being described as a massive wreck. Emergency responders, including police and other first responders, are on scene managing the situation, providing aid, and beginning the process of clearing the wreckage.

As a result of the full blockage, traffic is backed up significantly, with the queue extending northward to approximately the Ruby Tuesday restaurant area.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes if possible, expect substantial delays, and use caution in the vicinity as emergency vehicles continue to arrive and depart.
