MAN CHARGED WITH EVADING ARREST, DRIVING ON REVOKED OR SUSPENDED LICENSE
Monday evening, Cumberland County deputies conducting warrant service received information that 21-year-old Danny Harold-Jack Bilyeu of Crossville had been staying at a Vandever Road residence. They attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Bilyeu’s red motorcycle, only to have him elude deputies and engage them in pursuit for about two and a half miles.
When he finally stopped at the intersection of Vandever Road and Highway 127 South, deputies told Bilyeu several times to get off the motorcycle. According to the arrest report, he was noncompliant, so deputies removed him from the motorcycle. Bilyeu was taken into custody without further incident and charged with evading arrest and driving on a revoked or suspended license, in addition to the prior attachment warrant. He was placed under $32,000 bond and was due in court today.
