MAN CHARGED WITH WEAPON AND DRUG CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC VIOLATION
Knoxville, TN- On Monday at about 1:45 p.m., Knoxville Police Department officers stopped a Ford SUV on Kenner Avenue near Taylor Homes Road for a traffic violation. The driver initially provided false identification to officers, who noticed the smell of marijuana coming from inside the SUV. A probable cause search of the car and three occupants revealed two loaded handguns, a large number of suspected Oxycodone pills, over 300 grams of marijuana packaged in separate bags, various ammunition, and a digital scale.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Tevondre Conner, had two outstanding felony warrants out of Knox County and was charged with identity theft and convicted felon in possession of a weapon among other charges. The male passenger was charged with weapon and drug charges, while the female passenger was charged with drug charges.
