MAN DIES AFTER BEING DRAGGED BY NASHVILLE LIMO BUS

Metro Nashville police say a man died when he was dragged by a limo bus near the Broadway area late Tuesday night. Officers were called to the scene around 11:15 PM. According to investigators, the driver of a Mercedes limo bus got into an argument with another man at a public parking lot. Witnesses told police the limo bus driver drove away as the other man was trying to open the door to the bus. Somehow, police said the other man became stuck beneath the bus. Witnesses said they chased after the driver, but he kept heading toward Broadway. The man got free from under the bus but was severely injured. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Officers said the limo bus driver eventually returned to the scene “after learning he was involved in a crash.” The victim’s name has not been released, but officers said he was 26 years old and not a part of the group that had hired the limo bus. It’s unclear whether the limo bus driver will face charges.
