MAN, DRUNK ON WINE, GETS ARRESTED ON HIS WAY TO BUY MORE
On Tuesday, Deputy Ethan Wilson observed a vehicle swerving inside the lane of travel several times on Lantana Road. The vehicle would ride the center line and fog line several times and then cross over the fog line with over half of the vehicle, and stay there for around 4 seconds.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on Lantana Road and made contact with the driver, identified as Kent Benjamin Vollmar. The deputy found Vollmar to have slurred speech and red watery eyes. The deputy asked him if he had anything to drink to which he said he only had a bottle of wine and had just left his house to go pick up more.
Vollmar consented to field sobriety tests but would fail them. He would then be transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center where a search warrant was granted for his blood. After a blood draw at Cumberland Medical Center, he was brought back to the Justice Center and served with a warrant for driving under the influence.
