MAN SHOT AND KILLED BY NEIGHBOR IN SUMNER COUNTY AFTER DISPUTE

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. — A dispute lead between neighbors turns deadly in Sumner County.

Brian Cummins is shot by his neighbor, David McDaniel, just after 2 p.m. Saturday, when he went onto his property on Charles Brown Road near Westmoreland, the Sumner County Sheriff’s office reports. Cummins later died at a local hospital.

According to detectives, McDaniel shot Cummins after he reportedly came onto his property uninvited. An exchange followed.  McDaniel is jailed on voluntary manslaughter charges.  The investigation is ongoing.
