MAN STEALS TRUCK FROM KINGSTON, FOUND IN MONTEREY

On Sunday, October 2, the Kingston Police Department responded to Redzone Performance located at 1612 Roane State Hwy in reference to a stolen vehicle call. A 2008 Toyota Tundra had been stolen from the business.

Officers were able to obtain video footage from the business. Images were obtained of the offender and the vehicle the offender arrived in. The images were distributed on social media and many tips were received.

With the assistance of the Harriman Police Department, Crossville Police Department, and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was recovered on 10/04/2022 at a residence in Monterey, Tennessee.

Raybon D. Dickens, 35, was taken into custody for the theft of the vehicle as well as the theft of two catalytic converters from the business.

Detective Keith Kile went to the residence in Monterey, recovered the vehicle, and took Raybon D. Dickens into custody for the thefts. Raybon D. Dickens was transported to the Roane County Detention facility.

Dickens was charged with theft over $10,000 and theft under $1,000.

The Kingston Police Department would like to thank the Harriman Police Department, Crossville Police Department, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, and the many people that sent in tips that helped in the apprehension of the offender and recovery of the property.
