MAN TRIES TO HIDE METH FROM DEPUTY BY CHUCKING IT UNDER HIS TRUCK

On Tuesday, at around 3:24 a.m., Deputy Caleb Charles conducted what is known as a consensual encounter on a gold Chevrolet Silverado pulling into a residence on Apache trail known for narcotics sales.

The deputy made contact with the driver identified as Bret Allen Kearley, and a check through central dispatch confirmed he had a suspended driver’s license. Kearley said he was on state probation and consented to a search.

During the search, Kearley attempted to throw two plastic bags containing 8 grams of crystal meth underneath the truck. Kearley was then mirandaized and taken into custody before being transported to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office intake for booking where he was charged with manufacturing, delivery, and sale of methamphetamine.
