MANHUNT UNDERWAY FOR FOUR FUGITIVES

Law enforcement says four inmates are on the run from authorities after escaping a central Georgia jail through a damaged second-floor window and getting through the perimeter fences.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the inmates escaped yesterday from the Bibb County Detention Center in Macon, about 80 miles south of Atlanta.

The four climbed through a broken dayroom window and a cut fence.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said someone driving a blue Dodge Challenger in the parking lot near the fence appeared to aid the escape.

The four escapees include:

Joey Fournier, age 52, accused of murder

Marc Kerry Anderson, age 24, accused of aggravated assault

Chavis Demaryo Stokes, age 29, is accused of possession of a firearm and drug trafficking.

Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, age 37, was detained by the US Marshals after being convicted on federal charges related to the armed distribution of large quantities of drugs.

The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in locating the escapees and has set up a tip line at 478-751-7500. Those with information can also call the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 877-682-7463.

There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to their capture.
