Margaret Lou Campbell, 70
It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Margaret Lou Campbell, who departed this life on April 3rd, 2025. Born in Crossville, TN on August 30th, 1954, to James and Arnetta Eller, Margaret spent her life immersed in the vibrant hues of her beloved hometown. She was a dedicated payroll manager who took great pride in her work, often fondly referred to as a workaholic. Margaret’s work ethic was only surpassed by her love for her family, traveling, whether it be with her sisters or just going to the beach, drinking Diet Coke, and the Tennessee Vols. As Helen Keller once said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all,” and Margaret’s adventures took her far and wide, especially to any place with a beach. She had a zest for life that was as fiery as her favorite color, red. Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Will Campbell, her loving daughter, Melissa Campbell and her fiancé Billy Lewis, her son David (Keely) Campbell, her cherished siblings, Carol (Charles) Seiber, Robert “Hoss” Eller, and Lois Mackie, and her adored grandchildren, Bryton Underwood, Coleman Campbell, and Lola Campbell. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Arnetta (Meyers) Eller, her brothers, Virgil, Kenneth, Jimmy, Carl, and Edward Eller, her sister, Arnetta (Chick) Meade, and her brother-in-law, Jim Mackie. Visitation will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2653 N. Main St. Crossville, Crossville, Tennessee, 38555, on Monday, April 7th, 2025 at 4:00pm CDT. A memorial service in honor of Margaret’s life will follow at the same location at 6:00pm CDT. As Irish playwright, George Bernard Shaw wrote, “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” Margaret Campbell created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. We invite you to share your favorite memories and upload photos to Margaret’s memorial page as we celebrate and remember the incredible life she lived.
