Pearl Scott, Jr, 86, of Kingston, TN passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his home, with his loving family by his side. Born in Harlan County, KY, Junior served his country in the US Air Force as a member of the military police, and handler for the K-9 Unit. He retired from Y-12 National Security Complex after 24 years as a high voltage electrician.

Junior was a faithful and devoted member of Tennessee Missionary Baptist Church for 58 years, where he served as Sunday School superintendent and teacher, trustee, and deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents Pearl, Sr and Fannie Smith Scott, brothers Kelly M. Scott and Jimmy Scott, and daughter-in-law Becky Brown.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Betty Moore Scott, daughter Sherry Scott and son Mark Scott, brother Stanley Scott, sisters Thelma Scott Guettner and Diane Scott Darnell, brother-in-law Bob Moore and wife Mary Lane.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Tennessee Missionary Baptist Church in Kingston, with the Reverend BB Ratledge and Reverend David Coffman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
