Marie B. Moates, 98 of Knoxville, TN went home to Heaven on September 20,2026.  She was born in July of 1929 in Delano, TN.

She had resided at a local assisted living for the past 6 years since her stroke in 2021. Recently she  resided at West Hills Health and Rehab and they took amazing care of her.

She had held various accounting/bookkeeping jobs over the years  and retired  from Sears with 20 plus years of service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ella Bell; her husband of 67 years, Donald R. Moates; her brothers, Carl, Guy, Bud and Roy; her sisters, Evelyn Melton,Irene Hembree, and Maydene Raymer.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna M. Russell and son in law, Scott Russell of Knoxville; her 2 grandchildren and the loves of her life, Kelsey M. Russell of Knoxville and Travis S. Russell and his wife, Mary of Knoxville.

There will be no receiving of friends and grave side is immediate family only.
