Marilyn Agnes Parks passed away December 8, 2024, at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Lewis “Harold” Parks in 1997. She is survived by her loving sons Robert Parks (wife Miranda and daughter Lauren) in Dallas, TX, Jeffrey Parks (sons Lewis and Steven Parks) in Cleveland, TN, and Todd Parks in Nashville, TN.

Marilyn was born November 2, 1939, in Lynchburg, Ohio to Norman and Ica Swaine. Upon her graduation from high school, Marilyn worked a variety of jobs including as a secretary at Wright-Patterson Airfield, telephone switchboard operator in Florida, a beautician in Atlanta, GA, and the receptionist at the Cherokee National Forest Headquarters in Cleveland, TN. She married Lewis “Harold” Parks and finished raising him along with the three boys they had together.

Marilyn was active in her church life, a travel enthusiast, an avid music fan, and a poor navigator. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in the Old Sanctuary of Emory Heights Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Emory Heights Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Homes of Harriman is serving the Parks Family.
