MARTIN ELEMENTARY GETS ALL CLEAR; SCHOOL TO OPEN TOMORROW

Posted by Cumberland County School Director Rebecca Farley:

Hello!

I just wanted to provide you with a follow-up from today at Martin Elementary.  Middle Tennessee Natural Gas (MTNG) responded to a gas leak this morning.  They walked throughout the building and did not find any reading of natural gas.  MTNG did shut off the gas to the building and Cumberland County Schools maintenance did a pressure test on the gas piping in the building at 5 psi for 1 hour, the pressure test passed.  Cumberland County Schools maintenance has checked all gas heating units with no leaks found.  We have the all clear.

I would like to thank MTNG, City of Crossville Fire and Police Department and Martin staff for a great job today.  Also, a thank you to Martin families as well as for their patience and understanding.  Martin Elementary will be opened tomorrow (1-22) at normal time.
