Mary Elizabeth Wilson, 83

Mary Elizabeth Wilson of Kingston, Tennessee; beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend to many passed away surrounded by love at the age of 83 on Wednesday, July 16th.
Mary was born May 28th, 1942 in Ooltewah, Tennessee and graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 1960. Shortly after graduating and turning 18, Mary married the love of her life, Freddie Paul Wilson Sr. on June 10th, 1960 in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. Freddie and Mary raised two children, had a grandson, and were happily married for 37 years until his death in 1997.
Mary’s strength and resilience lead to her having a long and active life after Freddie’s passing. She continued to embrace life and lived every moment to its fullest. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, square dancing, reading, playing with her cats, and traveling. Mary was always there for her family and her memory will live on in their hearts forever.
Loved ones who preceded her include her loving husband Freddie Paul Wilson Sr. on September 3rd, 1997; and her parents Alma Elizabeth (Brock) Bennett and Duward Franklin Bennett.
Survivors are her loving family, son, Freddie Paul Wilson Jr. of Kingston, TN; daughter, Angela Elizabeth (Wilson) Marlow and husband Derick Christian Lipert of Oak Ridge, TN; grandson, Jakson Blake Marlow and wife Nicole Marie (Veley) Marlow of Chattanooga, TN; great-grandson, Jameson Blake Marlow of Chattanooga, TN.
Mary will have a graveside service and be laid to rest beside her husband of 37 years on Friday, June 25th at 11am at Kingston Memorial Gardens in Kingston, Tennessee. Friends and loved ones are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary’s memory to shelteranimalsrescue.org, a local animal shelter.
