Mary “Kathryn” Davis, age 89 of Oliver Springs passed away on Friday September 18, 2026 at her residence surrounded by family. Ms. Davis was born in Morgan County to the late William Clemons “Bill” Woods and Nellie Florence Jones Woods. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Dillard Davis along with her brothers and sisters, Carrie Honaker, Otto Woods, Cassie Musselwhite, Ellis Woods Sr., Hubert Woods, Wilma Foraker, Austin Woods, and Robert Woods.

Ms. Davis worked in the hosiery industry and was multi-talented, able to fix and repair anything. She was the co-owner of Davis Furniture and the Phillips 66 Service Station. She also served as a teacher assistant at Oliver Springs Elementary. Ms. Davis was an excellent seamstress and could sew everything from clothing, car interiors, boats, and furniture. She mostly enjoyed quilting and shared her work most all of the time.

Survivors include two sons, Danny and his wife Kris Davis of Farragut, and Jerry and wife his Teresa Davis of Harriman. A very special sister-in-law and friend, Carolyn Campbell Davis of Oliver Springs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Monday, September 21, 2026 at 1:30pm at Woods Cemetery in Coalfield. There will be a visitation from 11:00 to 1:00 at Sharp Funeral Home.
