Mary Lou Miller, 81
Mary Lou Miller, age 81, of Harriman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was born and raised in Roane County and was a long-time member of Bible Baptist Church in Harriman.
Mary Lou devoted her life to caring for her two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Heather. She was a loving wife to William Miller Jr. for 52 years and enjoyed cooking, homemaking, traveling, and gospel music. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
One of Mary Lou’s favorite Bible Verses was Titus 2:13, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ”
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband William Miller Jr; daughter Heather Lynette Miller; mother Jessie Irene Hill; father James Corum Hill; brothers Hubert, James, and Walter Hill; sisters Helen Patterson, Edith Peters, and Gladys Thompson and special longtime friend Carol Raby.
Survivors include daughter Kimberly Dawn Miller; brother Kenneth Hill; sisters Opal Sarten, Ruth Letner and Lucille Todd; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of many friends and neighbors.
Special thanks from the family go to all those who visited, prayed, and provided other acts of kindness, care, and compassion during Mary Lou’s recent illness.
A special thank you to her sister-in-law Elania, and brother-in-law Mitchell Ollis, for all the love and support throughout the years.
A graveside service will be held at New Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday December 22, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Glenn Leffew and Rev. Barry McDonald officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to me made to Bible Baptist Church of Harriman, in Mary Lou’s memory.
