Crossville Memorial – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cumberland County native Mary Ruth Freitag, age 67, who was born January 14, 1958, and passed through the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2025, in her Crossville, TN, home after losing her battle with pancreatic cancer. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Randall Greer Brewer, and mother, Josie Bernice Adams. As well as siblings, Roberta, Robert, Ralph, and Randy. Mary, aka“Mimi”, was a truly kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone she knew. Mimi was a woman of immense heart and unwavering kindness, known for her forgiving nature and her loving spirit. She was a person who rarely, if ever, carried anger, choosing instead to embrace love and compassion in all her interactions. Mary is survived by her three beloved children—Stephanie Freitag (Carrie Heath), Amanda Kelly (Danny Kelly), and Jonathan Freitag (Jessica McClellan), and her cherished grandchildren—Hunter, Addison, Jase, Porter, Freya, Rowan, and Ethan. Though she has left this earthly realm, her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered as a sweet person with a huge heart, whose presence brought light and comfort to those around her. Her legacy of love and forgiveness will continue to inspire all who knew her. A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, 2653 N Main St, Crossville, TN 38555 on Wednesday May 21st, 2025 at 4pm CST.
