MCMINN COUNTY INCREASES MINERAL SEVERANCE TAX RATE

Effective November 1, 2025, McMinn County will increase its mineral severance tax rate to 20 cents per ton, as approved by the county’s governing body through a resolution. This new rate applies to all sand, chert, sandstone, limestone, and gravel extracted from the ground in McMinn County on or after the effective date.
