Michael Lee McLean Sr, formerly of Oliver Springs, went home to be with Jesus peacefully December 17, 2020 at the age of 64 in Westel. He was born January 22, 1956 in Westel. Mike loved catfishing, his family, especially his grandchildren. He worked for Diversified Associates City of Oak Ridge for 23 years. He loved his dog, precious, with all of his heart. One thing everyone will remember is he was strong as an ox and as stubborn as a mule, and a sweetheart deep down inside. He was welcomed to his heavenly home by his mother: Della M. Collins-McLean; father: C. B. McLean; infant daughter: Melissa Ann McLean; sons: Michael McLean-Howard Jr, Justin Butler; Sister: Linda McLean; and brothers; Jim, Ed, Ralph, Earl, Bill, Leonard McLean. Survivors include his fiancé: Angie Higdon of Oliver Springs; sister: Lee (Jim) Schafer of Dayton, Tennessee; special brother: Billy (Gail) McLean of Rockwood; sister-in-law: Frances Sneed-McLean of Rockwood; daughters: Amanda McLean of Rockwood and Jessie (Jerry) Fritts of Rockwood; son: Stephan (Trina) McLean of Williamsburg, Kentucky; grandchildren: Daniel, Jashawn, Aalyah, Treshawn, Marcell, Tamiaha, Issadora, Hailee, Demarkus, Brylee, and Caylee; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. The family will receive friends Friday, December 18, 2020 from 5 until 7 p.m. eastern in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Graveside and interment will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the McLean Cemetery in Westel.
