Michael Lynn Russell, aged 67 of Oliver Springs, Tennessee passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Michael was a masonic member of the Dyllis Lodge, a diesel mechanic, and loved working on everything. He was known for taking things apart and putting it back together. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting for ginseng, and beekeeping. Michael was best known for being caring and easy to get along with. His greatest love was his wife Kathy, along with his children and grandchildren.

Michael is preceded in death by parents, Oxie and Peggy Jo Russell Jr.; brother Randy Russell; in-laws Betty and Mickey Cox of Harriman, Tn.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Russell, son Scotty Russell wife Nichole, daughters, Karie Arostegui husband Lee; Haley Russell and partner Brandon Toomey. Grandchildren, Micheal Austin Russell, Carlos and Brandon Arostegui, Raleigh Toomey. Siblings, Lisa and husband Doc, Connie and husband Buddy, Robin and wife Dorothy, along with Donnie and wife Mildred.
