MISSING CATTLE AFTER TRACTOR-TRAILER OVER TURNS IN COCKE COUNTY

COCKE COUNTY, TN.- On Thursday night, traffic around MM 432 on Interstate 40 Westbound was stalled after a tractor-trailer overturned in Cocke County. The trailer was carrying 68 head of cattle, according to officials with the Cocke County Emergency Management Agency.

 About 30 of the cattle were wrangled up and none appeared to be injured. However, 38 remain missing. Officials urge the community to call 911 if they spot a cow and they will send someone to gather them.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Experienced community members were helping first responders gather the cattle.
