Monday’s 5 Day Forecast

Hazardous Weather Outlook: An active period continues on Monday with multiple rounds of storms possible, some of which may be strong to severe. All hazards will be possible, damaging winds, hail, and flooding. A low-end tornado threat will also be in place. The best chances of seeing any strong to severe storms will be along the TN/KY/VA state boundaries during the evening hours.

Also, hot conditions are expected with many Central and Southern Tennessee Valley locations seeing heat indices close to 100 to 105 degrees, especially in around Chattanooga.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 11am and noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. West northwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 75. North northeast wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. North wind around 5 mph becoming east after midnight.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 79. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.
