Authorities say a Monroe County inmate escaped Monday afternoon while out on a work detail. MCSO is asking for the public’s help in its search for escaped inmate John Adam Cogdill. Cogdill, who is 38, allegedly walked off the work detail and is described as a white male with blue eyes, blond hair, weighing 140 pounds and is about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had 63 days left on his sentence for a misdemeanor violation of probation.
