Monterey police were called last night to the 800 block of Jackson Avenue in reference to shots fired. Several males had been outside their residence working on a car when a silver SUV or larger car pulled up. A male jumped out and fired several shots from a .45 caliber handgun while running towards the subjects. The male then jumped back in his vehicle and sped off down Jackson Avenue towards Industrial Drive.  No one was injured however multiple rounds went into the front of the apartment building.
