Justin E. Smith of Monticello, Kentucky, was arrested on two Wayne County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear for pretrial conferences on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, third-degree criminal mischief, first-degree bail jumping, two counts of first-degree persistent felony offender, contempt of court and a variety of traffic violations.

Smith was also arrested on a separate Wayne County District Court warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference for failure to maintain insurance, operating a motor vehicle with an expired license, failure to appear and traffic violations. Smith is being held without bond in the Wayne County Detention Center.
