MORE KROGER SHOOTING VICTIMS RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL

Regional One announced Monday morning that two more patients were released from its care following the shooting at a Collierville Kroger Thursday.  The hospital initially had eight patients. Sunday it said none were in critical care. Four remain at the hospital.

Following the shooting, Methodist University Hospital also received two patients. One has been discharged. One remains at the hospital but is stable, according to a spokeswoman. Residents who know the patient at Methodist said he is 78 years old and was shot in the shoulder and stomach.  Two patients were sent to Baptist Hospital facilities, one to Baptist-Collierville and the other to the main campus on Walnut Grove. Both were treated and released.

Fifteen people were shot last Thursday afternoon at the grocery on Byhalia Road. One woman – Olivia King – died from her injuries.

The shooter — Uk Thang, 29, a third-party contractor at the store — died at the scene, police say from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
