MORE RAIN AHEAD

A flash flood watch is in effect for East Tennessee through Thursday , it does not include Cumberland County at this time but we have plenty of rain to come off and on through Thursday and then Colder Weather could bring a little mix of light snow and light rain Friday and Saturday with high temperatures only in the upper 30s near 40. We will be back near 60° on Wednesday so mild weather another day. In case we ever get another measurable snow here in Cumberland County, now you know I’m just being facetious. Here are the official guidelines for measuring snow. Do not measure near a drift, a building, or near a tree or any other object. Stick a ruler or yardstick straight down into the snow until it just hits the ground but do not jab it into the ground. Take about 4 to 6 measurements in your yard with these guidelines and then average those readings. Did you know 17 of the last 22 months in Crossville have been above normal on precipitation? That is an incredible figure!
