MORGAN COUNTY BUS CATCHES FIRE ON INTERSTATE TODAY

This afternoon at approximately 1:18 PM, Rural Metro Fire and several Loudon County agencies responded to a reported school bus on fire on I-40 east of the 40/75 split near the Watt Rd exit. When crews arrived, they found the driver safe outside and NO CHILDREN on board. The fire was extinguished, and the bus was cleared of the interstate. The driver stated he thought he blew the motor and when he pulled over found that it was on fire. The bus was from Morgan County. No injuries were reported.
