This message is to inform you about a hoax threat that has been circulating around social media that includes a list of schools. We take each potential threat very seriously and want to assure you that this listing of schools does not include any Morgan County, Tennessee school. It is a list of at-risk academic schools that was produced by an out-of-state department of education.

We have consulted with our local Sheriff’s Department and have determined that this posting is not a threat to any of our schools.

School safety is our top priority.
