MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH AND DEBRIS SHUT DOWN LANES ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

On the morning of January 25, 2026, Interstate 40 in Cumberland County, Tennessee, experienced multiple traffic incidents.
A multi-vehicle crash was reported around 5:23 AM CT near mile marker 332 on the eastbound side, blocking the right lane (of two lanes) and the right shoulder.
Earlier, at approximately 5:09 AM CT, debris on the roadway near mile marker 336 on eastbound I-40 blocked the right lane, closed the entry ramp, and obstructed the right shoulder.
By 6:41 AM CT, additional debris on the roadway near mile marker 333 on the westbound side fully blocked all lanes, though both shoulders remained open.
These incidents, clustered in close proximity along the interstate, are causing significant disruptions and delays for commuters in the area during the early morning hours.
