MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH RESULTS IN INJURIES ON INTERSTATE 40

A five vehicle crash on I-40 in Loudon County yesterday resulted in multiple injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2012 Jeep Liberty driven by 45-year-old Jefferson Armes of Rockwood was traveling east at the 366 mile marker when he left the road, crossed over the median and struck an oncoming westbound 2017 Nissan Rogue operated by 52-year-old Salih.Y Doski of Nashville head-on. The Jeep overturned and came to rest. Three other vehicles were hit by debris from the collision. Armes was hurt and was charged with failure to exercise due care and failure to maintain his lane of travel. Doski and two passengers in his vehicle sustained injuries.
