MULTI-VEHICLE WRECK ON I-40 AT KINGSTON EXIT 356A
UPDATE:
The wreck seems to be cleared up, and now Westbound is no longer blocked, although there still seems to be significant congestion.
ORIGINAL STORY:
On October 17, 2025, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 40 westbound in Roane County at Exit 356A (SR-58 North/Oak Ridge/Gallaher Road) at 1:17 PM CT, closing all westbound lanes and prompting emergency responses.
This led to related congestion: eastbound at mile marker 354 (reported at 1:23 PM, with no lanes blocked) and westbound at Exit 362 (Industrial Park Road, reported at 1:22 PM, with no lanes blocked).
