The National Weather Service in Nashville, TN, will upgrade its Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) from May 19 to May 21, 2025. During this period, NWS Knoxville/Morristown will handle forecast operations, ensuring no disruption to core services like forecasts, watches, warnings, and advisories.

However, NOAA Weather Radio transmitters in Middle Tennessee will be offline, and local graphical forecast, climate, and probabilistic maps on weather.gov/Nashville will not be updated.
